Actual V12 drilled PCB and ten reverse-mounted LEDs. Switch bodies use manufacturer drawing envelopes; commercial cap shapes, colours and seating are approximations. Lighting is an appearance comparison, not measured brightness. The separate acrylic plate and frame need a retention design and fit trial.
Sources & fit notes
The acrylic is shown inside the opaque printed surround, with a removable white backing. Its visual thickness is the existing 1.5 mm CAD envelope. Kailh's drawing references 1.2 mm aluminum; actual acrylic thickness and Whale clip fit are not yet specified.
The emission maps use ten normalized source kernels. They illustrate concentrated, scattered and patterned extraction, not measured PMMA properties or a ray trace. Engraved acrylic needs effective entry coupling to achieve the intended appearance. Expect real hot spots and dark regions.
ScottoCaps Flat and Glass MX meshes by Joe Scotto, used under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. Commercial cap styles are approximate, including nSA and LSA row shaping. Choc V1 uses two-slot caps; XVX, nSA, LSA and Scotto MX use a cross stem. A shared stem interface does not establish complete fit. The raised case targets nominal XVX skirts; other caps sit differently. Amber caps flag custom or unconfirmed widths. Check kit quantities, legends, stabilizers and travel before buying.
At zero separation, the nominal battery, real V12 PCB and all 86 switch centers use the existing assembly coordinates. The V10 upper integrates the switch plate; the acrylic view partitions it into a frame and separate plate as a fit concept. Exploding these layers illustrates their relationship; soldered switches cannot be lifted from a soldered PCB this way in servicing.
